In addition to releasing 3 swordfish and boating a 4th, Capt. Don Combs on the SHARK BAIT caught and released a large thresher estimated at 400 lbs. Take a look at the picture of the fish, up close and personal. HUGE eyes, I wonder what it uses those for... |

The ReelXcape Swordfished on Saturday night and released two fish in the 50-60 lb range. One fish was weighed in at 183 lbs. The fish was caught by my son Michael who was hope for the holidays. His first Sword. He currently holds the boat record topping the 172 lb fish caught last year. Thanks Mike for giving us a goal to beat this year.
We enjoyed the company of captains Don Combs and Tim Martin. The company was welcomed and the quip radio conversation helped pass the time between bites. We all had a very active night with numerous strikes and misses. Great time was had by all. Let's do it again |

Swordfished with SHARKBAIT and REEL X CAPE Saturday night. Just like the good ole days. I won't steal their thunder only to say congrats to their releases and the ones they kept. We went 4 for 10 and saw all 10 of those. Not including slashed baits or mystery bites. Very nice to have action all night to keep the crew awake! 2 on my crew got their first swords which is always a plus. Rob Morgan and Chris Johnson are now sword slayers...releasers. |
