Spring Warm-Up Cancelled
Sorry for the late notice as the board was pre-occupied with issues of world importance...(I am trying to create a valid excuse). After reading this, step outside and feel the wind in your face. It is blowing my friends. NOAA has called for a small craft advisory through Sunday afternoon. This tournament is now cancelled. Have a great weekend. A good time to do a little boat maintenance.

Open Tournament is cancelled.
This weekend was the weather date for the Open Tournament. Un-fortunately, due to forecasted seas of 6-8 ft, the tournament is cancelled.
The fishing has been great when you can get out. At least 3 blue marlin have been caught this week that I am aware of...if that will whet your appetite.

March 10th Open Tournament POSTPONED
Weather Date is March 17/18.
A spokesman for the NE Florida Marlin Club stated that the Open Tournament slated for March 10/11 has been postponed to March 17/18. Club official Matt Eaton said that with seas of 6-8 feet, it was best to cancel and wait for better weather.
It is rumored that Executive Chef Bucky Odum has collaborated with restaurant Campeche Bay to provide a cuisine infused with the flavor of Old Mexico.
Bring the family to the club tongight for some fun. We will make this tournament up on March 17/18. |

There will be a Marlin General Meeting this Friday night September 22. This is the meeting for fishing rules changes, board nominations. We will be serving food from Kingfish grill and as always the bar will be open. Please make sure you come to this meeting this is for our rules for next year. The bar will open @ 6:30
We will also be handing out trophies from our past mini tournaments.

Sailfish Mini
We have talked to NOAA and the weather is going to be great this weekend now that Ernesto has passed. So the Sailfish Mini will be fished on Saturday. Due to the storm we were not sure if we would be able to fish so the food for tomorroww night had to be canceled, but the bar will be open. The Steak Cookout will kick off our Lady/Junior Mini July 15 @ 6:30 pm. Harry's Curb Mart is supplying the steaks and we are bringing the fixens. All you have to do is come cook your steak.
